In 1960 my parents decided to leave Chile, where they had met and had successfully run one restaurant that is now one of the oldest Italian restaurants in that country, to return to Italy and begin a new activity. As my father was born in Romagna, he wanted to come back to his region and they built a hotel at Milano Marttima, Hotel Acapulco, which they managed for a period of time, selling it later to build a new and bigger one at Lido di Savio.
The Hotel Mediterraneo was opened in 1968 and ,except for a short time, my parents have worked in it until 1989, when they decided to leave it and give me the responsibility of managing it.
